BHIS Worker (T-FR)

Lydia is a Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist with 30 years of experience in Human Services. She began her career at the Area Agency on Aging, where she worked with the elderly population, helping to meet their basic needs and coordinating programs alongside community leaders in Muscatine. Lydia also contributed to case management, implementing programs such as Information and Referral and Meal Site services, while supporting community groups and speaking at public events focused on aging and minority issues.

Over the years, Lydia has continued to serve the community in various roles, including supervising BHIS and case managers. She worked with Davenport Schools to build Behavioral Intervention services, supporting children and teens, and spent 10 years at Scott County Detention as a Youth Supervisor and Counselor.

In her current role at Family Resources Inc., Lydia provides Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) for children under 18. Her expertise includes skills development and assisting families in managing difficult behaviors, setting goals, and creating action plans to address challenges. She focuses on teaching social, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with conflict resolution and anger management.
