Nicki is a compassionate t-LMHC with over 10 years of experience in the wellness and healing fields. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Illinois University and specializes in working with individuals and couples (18+) facing a wide range of challenges, including marriage and relationship issues, divorce, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, life transitions, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ concerns, and trauma.
Nicki is dedicated to creating a warm, empathetic space where clients can explore their lives, reconnect with their authentic selves, and develop effective coping skills to support their healing and growth. She has a passion for working with couples, using the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy to address relational issues and strengthen emotional connections. Her approach to therapy is holistic and tailored to each client, combining techniques from Reality Therapy, Existential Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. She also integrates strategies from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to create personalized treatment plans that help clients achieve meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of her clinical work, Nicki is deeply committed to advocating for mental health, equality, and social justice. She is passionate about ongoing professional development and is dedicated to expanding her knowledge and skills to better serve her clients and promote overall wellness.
